Chillers for Sun Modular Datacentre
One of the most
impressive features of the Sun MD product is how it
manages heat loads, simplifying and sealing the cooling loop to a
single chilled water loop. We can therefore
eliminate air conditioners, air handlers and filtration units
as the external system is consolidated into a chiller unit
only.
The chiller will need to
have power supplied and will connect to the Sun MD in a “closed
loop” , so as to safeguard the quality and integrity of the
cooling loop.
The chillers work
to a predetermined chilled water set point and vary the amount of
refrigeration used based on system loads. When sizing a
chiller it is important to consider both the maximum heat load and
the maximum ambient temperature it will encounter as this will
determine the required capacity. For critical installations
it is recommended that some redundancy is allowed to cover
maintenance and repair.

Our chillers are constructed to cover a broad range of
requirements. Some variation does occur around
the world due to local refrigerant and pressure vessel
codes.
